    After waking up to a fresh cup of tea and a delicious breakfast, you start your journey warm and ready. Drive to Pinnawala elephant orphanage, to see milk feeding & elephant bathing. As you return to Kandy on the way, you will go to the Royal Botanical Gardens, which is covered with colorful flowers, herbs, endemic and epidemic plants, and palm trees, all of which include more than 4000 varieties.

    In the evening, you can attend an authentic Kandyan dance performance. Later, visit the Temple of the Tooth relic. The most sacred molar tooth of the lord buddha is placed in seven golden caskets, under a golden celling!

    Sri Dalada Maligawa or The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple. The temple which houses the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha is one of the holiest shrines in the entire Buddhist world.
