Breakfast En route to IRAQ AL AMIR This castle was built in a breathtaking landscape, in the heart of a natural amphitheater, in the middle of an artificial lake which has since dried up.
Note the impressive size of the stone blocks with which the castle is built. Some pieces weigh more than 20 tons. The building was, however, heavily damaged by the earthquake of 362. A team of French archaeologists set about restoring it in the early 1980s, attempting to partially reconstruct this giant 3D puzzle.
The northern part has a portico with two columns decorated with friezes representing giant animals, mainly lions and eagles and panthers. Breakfast in a local restaurant
Continuation to AL-SALT. An ancient city, these splendid yellow stone buildings harmoniously integrate local and European styles. Generally, they are built with domed roofs, interior courtyards, tall round-arched windows. Stroll first down Dayr Street and through the central and shopping streets to the graceful arched facade of Abu Jaber House, one of the city’s most beautiful houses, built over twenty years starting in 1886 featuring local sandstone, Belgian stained glass, Italian marble and hand-painted Jerusalem tiles. Recently restored, it now houses the historical museum, with interesting exhibitions on local history and commerce, as well as a beautiful view of the city’s
    rooftops.

    DAY 03 — AMMAN – JERASH – CITY TOUR – AMMAN

Breakfast Departure for a visit to the city of JERASH. A real treat for archeology lovers and history buffs, it is the second largest site in Jordan after Petra.
The ancient Roman city of the Decapolis is a booming tourist town! Visiting Jerash means discovering dazzling ruins, immense colonnades and multiple Roman remains
Today considered one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Near East.

Good choice for lovers of historical puzzles: theaters with walls decorated with Corinthian scenes, avenues lined with colonnades, monumental fountains, massive triumphal arches, streets paved with colonnades, immense temples and theaters, thermal baths and fountains as well as its pierced walls.
    Lunch in a local restaurant
Return to AMMAN for a city tour: THE CITADEL OF AMMAN, dominates the city. This ancient Roman acropolis is a striking witness to the past of the city, which then bore the name Philadelphia.
Also visit THE ROMAN THEATER which was erected on the order of Emperor Antoninus Pieux who reigned between 138 and 161 AD. An epitaph engraved on one of the Corinthian pilasters of the building confirms this. At the time, the city, called “Philadelphia”, was part of the Decapolis. It has a steep slope and, unlike other Roman structures, its facade faces north to prevent sunburn from hitting spectators in the face.
Dinner in a Local Restaurant Night at the hotel.

    DAY 04 — AMMAN – MADABA – MOUNT NEBO – KERAK – PETRA

Breakfast at the hotel and departure towards the Route des Rois for the visit of MADABA. Known for its mosaics of Byzantine and Umayyad origins, which often illustrate the Tree of Life, one of the symbols of the country.
The city is deeply marked by its history which, like many holy places in Jordan, is mentioned in the Bible. The richness of its influences (Roman, Persian, Byzantine, Umayyad) is expressed through numerous remains and monuments. In particular, the Church of Saint George contains a true masterpiece: an ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land of Jerusalem.
Then you will visit MOUNT NEBO It is on this mountain, culminating at 800 meters in height in the west of Jordan, that Moses is said to have observed the Promised Land for the first time, and it is also here that he is said to have died at the age of 120…Mount Nebo attracts many pilgrims, who come to visit the Moses Memorial Church and its sumptuous mosaics, as well as the incredible view of the Dead Sea and, on a clear day, of Jerusalem.
Continue to the town of KERAK Lunch in a Local Restaurant One of the fortresses erected by the Crusaders across the Latin States of the East: visit to this ancient capital of the country of Moab, stronghold of the terrible Renaud de Châtillon, perched on a rocky peak overlooking orchards.
Continue to PETRA Dinner and Night at the hotel.

DAY 05 — PETRA: THE PEARL OF THE MIDDLE EAST

Breakfast at the hotel, departure for a day visit entirely dedicated to PETRA, discovering its many riches. Here are the most notable of them:
The Siq: the visit to Petra begins with a walk in the heart of this canyon for approximately 1 km. The path is only a few meters wide, and in the early morning the atmosphere is truly captivating. At the end of this canyon, we can distinguish between the walls the most famous monument of the site: the Treasure!
The Treasure (Khazneh): this monument engraved in the rock is truly magnificent. 45 meters high, its ornaments and engravings are still perfectly preserved. It was described as the temple containing the grail in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Lunch in the Site’s restaurant.
The Royal Tombs: these imposing buildings were carved into the side of the mountains, and must once have been among the most beautiful on the site! Time and erosion have diminished their beauty, while giving them unique colors and a certain charm. They are easily accessible shortly after the discovery of the treasure.
There are many other things to see in Petra, such as temples, Roman ruins, dwellings, beautiful landscapes etc. The place is also teeming with life, whether through the large number of visitors, the animals or the Bedouins living in the mountains. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

    DAY 06 — LITTLE PETRA – WADI RUM SAFARI 4X4 (2H)

    Breakfast
Visit LITTLE PETRA: Also known in Arabic as Siq al-Barid, “the cold canyon”, due to its orientation and its high walls which prevent sunlight from penetrating fully.
Its iconic site, the Painted House, is home to one of the only surviving Nabataean painted interiors, which features breathtaking frescoes.
On the way to THE WADI RUM DESERT, Lunch in a Local Restaurant
If Petra is the result of the work of man combined with that of nature; the cliffs, peaks and valleys of Wadi Rum owe their serene beauty and overwhelming grandeur, according to T. E. Lawrence, to themselves. This site is one of the highlights of the Great Arab Revolt, magnified by director David Lean in one of the most impressive scenes of his film Lawrence of Arabia.
You will go on a 4X4 PICK-UP HIKE to admire the splendor of this thousand-year-old desert of Wadi Rum. Dinner in a Bedouin tent to discover the meaning of Bedouin hospitality and gastronomy. Night at Camp.

DAY 07 — WADI RUM – DEAD SEA

    Breakfast
On the way to THE RED SEA: AQABA The country’s only access to the Red Sea, it offers travelers a pleasant space for relaxation.
Located on the gulf that bears its name, opposite the Israeli seaside resort of Eilat, Aqaba is a Jordanian city known for the beauty of its seafront. It is also the only city in the country to have a port.
The main interest of Aqaba for tourists is the sumptuous coral gardens which line the coast. A golden opportunity to go diving or snorkeling and discover the incredible richness of the seabed of the Red Sea!
Lunch, Dinner and Night at the hotel

    DAY 08 — AQABA – DEAD SEA

    Breakfast
THE DEAD SEA Potassium, calcium, magnesium, bromine, sodium in much higher quantities than in any other sea… and above all almost 6 times more salt! This is the secret of the flotation formula.
The Dead Sea is the saltiest body of water in the world and also the lowest point on Earth: 429 meters below sea level.
Today, we don’t swim: we float. We lie down on the water, and our muscular bodies will not sink into the sea
No effort necessary: we inevitably remain on the surface, like a buoy in a swimsuit. Movement is useless, even moving the little finger is superfluous…

Lunch, Dinner and Night at the Hotel
